I have a '97 T4R, yesterday I noticed that I went to put my truck into gear and would not budge. I now have to depress the bypass button on the counsel. Help please!! What causes this? Easy fix or no?

Hi, I'm not sure about what you are talking but I can try to help you. First of all, I understand you have an automatic transmission. Usually, when you need to use that button, it's because of the tail light fuse that is blown. Maybe you plugged a trailer recently? You will be able to find that fuse near the left kick panel under the small door located on the lower part of the dash.

X2 on the blown fuse. Usually the culprit is a bad trailer harness, even if you havent plugged it in. They are usually the non factory harnessess that go bad or if the harness has been tampered with. Replace the fuse and check your harness for a possible replacement

Thanks for the advise guys, that's exactly what the problem was. I just hooked up my trailer. I was just talking about putting a new wiring harness on my trailer. Thanks again.
