I stopped by my local Toyota dealer for the first time in many years and caught a look at the new 2010 4Runner. My first impression was: it looks kinda like a Range Rover now. The dealer did not have any brochures however they had them for the 2009 4Runner so i picked one up and thought I would share with you some of the spec differences between my 2001, and the 2009 models.
Approach/Departure Angle
2001: 35/28
2009: 30/24
Ground clearance (Inches)
2001: 11.0 (4WD)
2009: 9.1 (4WD)
What I also saw that was interesting is I know many of you like to speak of a "rear locker". The newer models offer something called an "Urban Runner Edition", which features an optional locking rear differential.
