Nice rig! Love the skids. Thats my next challenge is to armor the bottom.

I do sell, and have some right now, the gas tank skid.

A little progress today. It's a lot of little details that add up and are time consuming.
I have the tire carrier back on, most of the Hi-Lift carrier on, hinge braced, the license plate mount and light on.
(the picture is a little deceiving, it looks like I have a 40" tire)

My Hi-Lift is inboard of the rack but I wanted a strong support for the tire so I stepped out and back in, around the Hi-Lift.
I will swing the carrier open to access it. The latch I'm using can take a lock so the jack will be secure.

Just read through your thread.

I like the rear bumper a lot. I think it looks very professional, bus uses several basic building techniques. Did you you wing it or did you do a whole bunch of drawings?

Also like your sliders. How are they working out? I saw you mentioned you may be doing something new...

I have a picture (awful phone picture) of my tire/jerry can/hi-lift swingout. It is trail ready.

Looks good man! Not much of a view from the back window though... lol! But we get a pretty good eyeball out of our side windows anyway!

After years of driving trucks, I don't miss looking out the back window. I live by the side mirrors.

After 150 miles of wheeling, it performed great. Very little shake even with 10 gallons of fuel.

After seeing your build thread I like my square tubing a lot more. I really like your rear bumper and may have to try and copy it. Lots of nice clean work, truck looks great.

Not a great picture.
The last two days, I made some changes to my Jerry Can holder. I turned one carrier sideways and also built a hinged keeper/lock strap.

hey i love your rig your mods are amazing how you build them yourself, i was curious about how you built your front skip plate? i want an aftermarket front skid but dont want to spend a fortune and possibly build myself
