The blue boots look kinda perty

The lower ball joints were recalled for certain years because of safety issues. I'm gonna be that guy, OEM only for lower ball joints. Just not worth risking safety.

FYI, the OEM lower ball joints don't come with blue boots. I'm just sayin'.

A 5 second search would yield you all you ever needed to know about "budget" suspension/steering replacement parts and why everyone on here that has been through the headaches will simply say " OEM" parts only.

If you dont want to pay for oem LBJs check out proforged. I put them on my FJ Cruiser and they make a solid product. 1,000,000 mile warranty. Sealed boots.

Proforged lower ball joints

If its blue or red its made in China and will fail in a year. The LBJ is not a fail safe design. Its under constant tension and the weight of the truck is constantly trying to pull the ball stud out of the socket. OEM will last 100,000 miles plus. I would trust none of the names you have heard of like moog, napa, etc. me, personally, I like OEM and proforged. Check them out. I found zero bad reviews on the net.

Most people here are OEM Nazi's, but these look like they could potentially be a good joint. This appears to be the only aftermarket joint that is of a sealed design (eg. polished ball stud in a teflon lined socket, same as the OEM design. As long as the proper material grades and processes are used, it's not rocket science to design a ball joint. Just speculation though, only way to know is to perform some testing and to cut open the joint.

Most people here are OEM Nazi's, (but these look like they could potentially be a good joint).

Since I got 300k+ miles on OEM, doing the FSM check procedure. I ran limit straps with my lift for 200k miles. I'll stick with proven versus could potentially be.
