jl audio g6600

2 pairs of jl audio xr 6.5 components

jl stealthbox

and the clifford 50.7 to protect them all

so i put a deposit on the stealthbox cause thats a special order and i believe i got a really good deal on all the other items with the exception of the alarm

i originally was quoted on the 50.5x and that was $700 (400 for parts 300 for install)

and then i was looking up online and i found the 50.7x and i had to get it, and i found it online for $275 so do you guys think i should buy it online and have them install it, you think they would be cool with that and not getting it through them? cause i doubt theyll hook me up that much since they were gonna sell me the lower product for more - which i could have gotten that one for $225 online???

all in all what do you think of the system?

im gonna have the amp installed behind the stealthbox in that compartment with a 12v computer fan to cool it

on the alarm part, u should defenitly go to a shop that sells it and installed it too, this is how u get the support and warranty of the alarm, also why dei brand alarms?, get compustar, its better if not the best on the market. also if you get the alarm off ebay, the shop usually charge 2-3 times of what u have paid to buy the alarm online. gettin from authorize dealer is the best option, support and warranty they will of course fix it.
also i spend about 800 on my alarm the compustar 2w900frm, has everything i need, remote start, 2 way paging, hood and glass sens, custom led. back up siren, and immobilizer, i used dei glass sensor and their back up siren, and immobolizer.
on the sound, jl audio is nice, but only buy the subwoffer, they sound good, i have 2 12w3v2 in ho box. as far as the amp, i would get the slash series amp, i got 3 of my own, 2 300/2 and also a 500/1v2. on door speakers i would get focal, the access series from them sound way better than the jl audio xr, also the cost of the focals is only like 20-50 bucks more and its a better speaker.

Definitely do not buy that alarm off the internet. He is right, labor rates are usually triple the cost of the labor rate for parts bought in the store. Anyways I would guess a shop would charge you over $500 to install an alarm bought off the internet minimum. An alarm and remote start is one of the hardest and labor intensive installs. I would strongly recommend finding a reputable shop to buy the alarm do the install.

I just got the compustar pro 900 alarm and remote start and am very pleased I went with compustar over dei. I paid $700 and they made the rear window roll up and down.

come by the bay area, go to my uncles shop, its audiomobile

I couldn't wait 4 years to swap out the factory tunes. I put a system in my '07 that's pretty similar to the one you're planning. I ordered the Stealthbox through Crutchfield for what you'll find it for in shops. I'd also recommend getting the alarm through your shop and having them install it.

I posted some pictures from my install awhile back... here's a link...

I've had some "loud" stereos in past vehicles, but none that sounded this clean. It makes the two hours of traffic a day that much better.

Good Luck.
