Getting new lift

So I have read through the Lift Info sticky and numerous posting but I just want to make sure that I am not missing anything. So I am asking you guys. I am getting the old man emu 881 coils with the adj 5100 billys and old man emu 890 with 5100s also. Would it be better to run the tundra 5100s and if so, what would I need to run the tundra ones?

why is it, that on different sites such as sleeoffroad it says that the ome 881 and 890 give a 2.5 lift. Then when you look up the coils on wheelers. It is saying the 881 give between 1.5 and 1.75 of lift in front and the 890 gives 2.5. I am wanting close to 2.5 as possible and want to go with the ome coils. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

There are two different 5100's you can run in the frot. The tundras and and the tacomas. The tundras have 5 perches and are a "bigger" shock made for the heavier V8 engine bays and the tacomas have 3 perches and are "smaller" shock made for the smaller 4.0 engine bay. The 881 will probably give you ~1.5" of lift with the coil itself but with the 5100's I would add a half of an inch to each perch. So the tacoma 5100 on the lowest perch on the 881 will probably yield ~2.25-2.5" of lift and then add .5" to each perch going up and then the tundras will start at about 2" of lift on the first perch and go up in .5" increments as well. The 890 coils should give you ~3" of lift

Here is my 97 with 881's in the front with Tacoma 5100s and 891's in the back with 5100s. [MENTION=87036]YotaDan[/MENTION] at wheelers suggested this combo and I couldn't be happier. Rides great. Been on two weeks or so. Love it.

The reason every website is different is that every truck is different weight wise and how much the stock springs have sagged. I ended up going with Toytec Boss coilovers up front and new LC 7.5 wraps in the rear. That allowed me to match the front to the rear suspension to my liking. I wanted a good bit of rake so the coilovers let me do just that.

I'd recommend finding some fender to hub measurements of a truck similar to yours weight wise with whatever suspension you are looking at and compare them to your fender to hub measurements.

Here's my truck with the coilovers and LC coils. I'm at 22" upfront and 23.5" in the back right now. 150lbs of skid plates underneath, 100 lbs of sliders, and 100lbs of roof rack on the roof is all the additional weight I have as of right now.
