I have a 2007 V6 limited 2wd 4runner. I was averaging about 16-18mpg with mixed hwy and city driving. One tank of gas would last me about 310miles. Lately, I've noticed that I was only getting about 12-14mpg and getting only 250miles per tank full. I even did a fuel induction service in hoping that it would help. (I should have known better, because it didn't help). I'm not carrying any extra cargo, tires are inflated properly, check engine light NOT on. Drives and performs no differently. I had a mechanic look at it for $100 to do a fuel system check. They found nothing. I had my mechanic change out the spark plugs too. Jeez, i only have 75k miles on it. Any suggestions?
Getting poor gas mileage 07 4runner. Suggestions?

This was my issue, I had a dragging front caliper that warranted me replacing both fronts. My MPG were mysteriously vanishing but returned when I replaced them, it was only a small drag but it was definitely bringing me down a bit.

Well, seems silly to mention it..... but, in my "hood" of a neighborhood, some of my neighbors have been having their gas siphoned in the middle of the night. No joke. It's probably a long shot for you, and probably not too common on our 4runners with the locking door. However, someone could forcibly pop open your door and siphon some nightly. Seems silly, but it has been known to happen to some people.
Most likely it's something mechanical, but hey, I thought it was worth sharing my neighborhood's sob story.

This actually happened to my dad at the Bellevue park and ride....twice in his Suburban with a 40 gallon tank. And his old beater he used to drive there in the 90's was stolen out of the lot as well. He also got pulled over in his Suburban because someone swapped the plates with a Camry's when it was parked at the Mercer Island park and ride, so needless to say theft seems to be the unofficial sport of the greater Seattle area.

bump your tire pressure up if possible, going from 32 to 38 in my michelins got me almost 2 mpg hand calculated on the highway
