Getting Tint - Need Input

Wow, he got busted for having 20%?? Where is he located at?? That is just stupid. And 35% is not legal either?? I was thinking of going 20% on my fronts because it would match the back glass with no tint. Someone must have pissed in that cop's wheaties!!:bs:

Front tint laws are a state by state thing. In Tennessee the law is 35%, but most are darker. I am running 15%, but I know if I get pulled over for something, they could cite me for it. It's a chance I am willing to take.
Some places it's city by city on how they will cite for window tint.

Go for as high as you can on the back. The highest I've seen is 50%, but I'm sure there are higher tints out there.
In my opinion 15-20% is the only way it will match. You just have to decide if it is worth it to you.

I'm assuming that your location "the OC" is for Orange County. If that is the case, CA is weird. I believe the actual law is no darker then 70% on the front, which is pretty worthless, and any darkness for the rear windows.
I personally have 15% on front and DBL 5% on the rear. I've never been hassled about it, even pulled up next to CHP and local PD at lights etc and they don't even look twice. I've also have the fronts on my Honda 15% as well with 5% in the rear and never got a ticket.
Maybe in So. Cal, if thats where you are, they might be a little more strict. If you are down there I wouldn't worry to much considering HB 4x4 and BlairB are both in the area and both have 5% on the front of their rigs.
Anyhow, I would do minimum 20% front and 5% rears (if you're not willing to go darker in the front). I know this isn't balanced like you're looking for but in my opinion, it looks the best.
