Getting to the oil drain plug...???

Do I need to remove the rear part of the skid plate to get to the oil drain plug on a V6 4th gen? Even my 3rd gen lets you drain w/o removing the plate. When I saw the new location of the oil filter compared to the 3rd gen I figured this would be a cake walk. WTF am i missing here?

If you get under there you will find a small plastic cover, that is simple to pry off. No need to remove the skid protector.

Weird, but my 4th gen has less clearance than my 3rd gen does (stock height, too).

I bought two floor jacks and four jack stands from Harbor Freight. Make it simple to do everything under my Autos and Trucks.

I have Rhino Ramps for the Mustang but didn't need them for the 4Runner. Once I got that cover off it was fine. Even though I couldn't see the drain plug, I did it all by feel and it went smooth. She's buttoned back up and ready to roll. I even swapped the fog light bulbs with the Hella Optilux while it drained. Thanks again for the help.
