So I was watching some videos on utube and an add popped up stating performance chips for 69 bucks. They even have one for a Bugatti...why would you need one for a Bugatti?
Anyways, my question is what are your thoughts or knowledge of installing chips and are they worth it. I am not looking to have a mini John Force under that hood but a little extra umph would be nice.

If they worked everybody here would have one and right now I don't know of one person running one plus if it's sounds to good to be true then it probably is.

In other words avoid it and save your money.

They did have chips to rip off 3rd gen owners so 4th gen guys are the only (un)lucky ones.

I had a superchip in my 1998 explorer when i had that and i could feel a difference. I think it was mostly a little acceleration and the shift firmness.

With that said i probably wouldn't buy another unless i had a few mods done that i needed to account for. Isnt there something about the 4th gen 4Runner computer where the chips cant reprogram them? I thought i read that but then again it is the internet.
