Yes, long time. I ordered same setup Sept 17 and nothing yet...
Same....Jason was kind enough to email me the other day though....i guess part of the problem is that he/we flooded Gibson with 54 orders for the same-ish system all at once.
nice! do you remember when you ordered and did you go with the black tips?

Yea, it's been crazy. It's the black that's really taking a bit. Basically any orders places for the dual with BLACK TIPS will ship around the end of the month Gibson told me. They have to send out the tail pipe and tips to get black ceramic coated, guess it's a bit of a process. Most exhaust manufactures just paint it black, which is super simple, but the custom ceramic black is much better and should last forever. I can and will say it sounds great.

Got mine Friday, its on today. Dual tip black one, sounds good.... honestly, kinda manly and a bit burlier then I expected (under load, up hill under 2k rpm). Will see how/if it will be annoying around town. Really sounds like a truck now, which is good and bad. Wouldn't say it sounds like a v8, but close.
Don't ask about drone on the freeway, won't be on I5 till Friday (ya, I'm lucky).
Also, FYI, appears you can install the muffler facing either direction.... one way sounds louder then the other. Doesn't seem to be asymetrical and there are no arrows on it like say on an old inlie fuel filter.
Sorry, no time to phuck around making vids for you guys....so don't ask but quality and sound are worth the money.

Awesome feedback. That's what I was looking for. Can you explain about the muffler direction? I would want to make sure the flow is going the right way. Did you go with the louder direction?
Any chance you can post a photo?

Can't wait for mine to arrive. End of month it looks like.
When you look into the muffler in one end you will see what could either be described as looking like a cheese grater or louvers. This is the inlet of the muffler as it is designed to flow the exhaust via the louvers from the center channel into the silencing baffles in the outer perimeter.

I know what a cheese grater look like. So should I be grating the exhaust fumes coming from the headers or make the fumes roll over it smoothly as possible?

We tried both ways and went with the louder way, ie: against the louvers (creating more turbulance) vs smoothly going over them with the grain. The inside is similar to old cherry bombs, louvered and rifled. So far does not seem to be choked up or down on power (no noticeble gain either) and no CELs.

Nothing wrong with a louder sound. Got a photo of the muffler installed on your 4R?

To the rescue! Inlet of the muffler is the side with the open fave of the louvers. They are designed to catch the air. If you put it the opposite way yes, would be a little louder, I doubt the power difference would be able to be felt with a human

Also, after install, it takes the computer about one full tank of gas to adjust to the new airflow, so you might not feel gains until then, or disconnecting the negative side of the battery for one hour will reset it instantly. So you either do that, or wait about 200 miles and it will have adjusted by itself by then.

Nice! I've been looking for a side exit system to replace my 4 year old Magnaflow exhaust. It's not bad but the drone under load is pretty annoying.
I’m so glad I canceled my Magnaflow side exit and jumped in on this
