Ok was just cleaning my cabin filter and discovered a new trick where you can have a somewhat hidden compartment in your glove box. I love finding new things! Anyone else know this trick??

Here are the pics:

I never paid attention to that small compartment because I immediately threw a bunch of stuff on that upper level. I was surprised to find out this function! Seems I am the last one to know this trick :D :biggrin2:

theres a little slot in the visor above the drivers seat thats good for the registration and insurance card, quick and easy for you know who :D

I keep my pens, phone charger, notepad, pocket knife, and tire pressure gauge in that small upper compartment. I also use it as a super secret hiding place to hide my wheel lock key. Crap, I wasn't supposed to say that.

Wow I did not know that closure existed! Before I read this thread, I kept my owners manual on the top compartment. I think it's a nice place to secure the coin holder prior to handing the rig to the Toyota service department guys... :-)

Yeah I found mine a couple weeks ago when I was poking around in there. Was quite surprised when I found it lol.

i am so confused!

I dont see whats so hidden about it? It swivels up to reveal more of the already visable glovebox underneath?

I thought there was some EXTRA hidden compartment, i looked for a few min...

Now i feel dumb!

Yeah it's not so hidden that it's a kept secret. Mine came down already when I picked mine up, TBoliv had to show me that it locks up and "hides" from normal view in the up and locked position.

Cabin Air cleaner

That is also how you get to the cabin air cleaner on the 4th gen. Don't let the stealership charge you a bunch of clams to change that -- you can do it yourself.
