hardwire an led strip and itll be even brighter. but this light turns on with parking lights.

I don't get why the heck there is no door switch - that's just another really dumb move by Toyota. I mean, really? US cars and most imports had a simple plunger switch installed as stock equipment to turn on/off any glove box lamps - this is basic stuff, not some off the wall extra equipment.
Sort of on the same level as the dash lights dimming when they shouldn't.
