and...gmail is googles email system. they used to offer 1gb of free storage for free, but have up'ed that to 2gb, still for free.

all this well before yahoo started getting good.

also, gmail allows you to search for you emails with a traditional google search bar, and it cascades all your messages together if they are about the same topic. for example, you send an email, and get a reply. the reply is cascaded with your original, and so on and so on for the whole conversation.

if you want an invite, just ask.

Like bflooks says it is a free e-mail service. You can log on any computer and get your e-mails, if it has the ability to go on the internet. They just started this and you can only join by getting a invite.

Hotmail has a free acount, it was only 2MB of storage, when g-mail came, hotmail went up to 250 MB, nice but not as nice as 2GB.

I might suggest that you PM bflooks when you want a free invite, or e-mail him directly. That way, your e-mail is not out in cyberspace. I also have g-mail with about 98 free invites left. You can also send me a PM (private message) if you want an invite.

(One thing I notice with g-mail is they have ads on the right of your e-mails, if you talk about floor tile, or gas grills they have ads on the right for floor tiles and gas grills. So big brother is watching. Oh, one more thing I am moving this from 3rd generation forum to the off topic forum.)
