Is anyone using one of these successfully? I've tried and it seems too fiddly in use. Mounting both an axe and shovel is nearly a two-man job to safely as you have to hold them both in place while dealing with the clamp. Obviously you can do it by yourself but you have to be very careful to avoid paint/body damage. It's easy for the shovel head to contact the body until you get the clamp squeezed down.
I'm thinking that using it when actually needed you're likely to be tired and distracted and the risk for banging a tool down the side of the vehicle is fairly high.
