Looks like it is only on the 5th gen.
You will see it if you scroll down further in the product page. Also code "Gobi100" is still working to save an additional $100 off.

I'm all about patent stopping patent trolling, but you are misrepresenting their patent.
Here are their relevent patents from the whitson case:
https://www.google.com/patents/USD578952
https://www.google.com/patents/USD520938
Here are the claims:
"The ornamental design for a sport utility vehicle rack, as shown and described."
and
"The ornamental design for a multi-purpose storage rack for a sport utility vehicle, as shown and described."
the "as shown and described" part references the images that they have showing their design. Their patent is not for any any design or look, only what looks like their figures. their ladder design is also an ornamental design patent.
they do not have any patents that i can find that pertain to how the rack attaches (in fact they don't even claim the foot tabs in their patent), their patent is about how racks look. they own that rack design.
that doesn't look like patent trolling to me, it looks like them protecting their design
It's not vehicle specific, the claims I listed are the only claims on the patent. It actually is the exact definition of patent trolling with the vagueness of what they patented the lawsuits are endless as we can clearly see. The patent was for vehicle specific racks, and again last time I checked they weren't the first to build a roof rack?
But if you want to sit and justify that purchase that's fine but how the whole suit unraveled isn't justifiable. Cheers to you though brother. Enjoy the rack

I even linked to the patent, view it for yourself, it is an ornamental patent for the design. They patented their design, the look

I was replying to your misunderstanding of their patent, you seemed to have a misunderstanding of ornamental patentsSo you didn't read the comparison between the two racks? Solid.

Edit:
read the other thread, i think a lot of the confusion is because both the lawsuit and patent were inaccurately summarized in that thread

Let's see some more pictures! Need my daily dose of 4Runner porn :boink: :worthless
Also, still no disadvantages!? Selling me on this rack even more.
The only disadvantage is the wait time which is almost 3 months. Be sure to do your research before ordering (no rise? Want the option to put on a 40" light bar at a later time?, etc.).
Are the excessive wait times through distributers like Trail and Duty or direct from Gobi? Group buy related?
Can anyone shed some light on how much height, if any, the Gobi Stealth adds to the truck? Not sure if I will be able to park in my garage anymore if I put one on lol....
