So I put my rack on last night and for $1500 I'm not too impressed. The rack fit great but one of the wire plugs was missing. The tiny washers for the valance and all of the double sided tape is kind of cheap and should be black or something other than grey. I expected more to be made to order and have had to wait almost two months.

I agree. Trailduty is a good company and they always reply to questions or concerns promptly. I opted for the axe/shovel attachment for free because it took 7 weeks to come in.

I have had issues with the locks for the attachments. The whole lock assembly comes out of the handle and wont stay unlocked to remove. I contacted Trailduty and they contacted Gobi. Gobi is sending me new locks but it's taken over two months and I'm still waiting. And the lady that called me from Gobi was a *****. Bad attitude and quick to cut you off.

I hope this was just my experience and it's not always this way.

People will just ignore it, since it didn't effect them directly. The company is truly garbage, and watching their most recent group buy fall apart due to yet again lying about lead times and shipping amazes me that the forum still keeps them on board. After the owner tried threatening the forum as well to delete a thread that he incriminated himself in was just another ridiculous thing they tried pulling.
And the products still have issues with the finish rusting through as well.
All in all, people look to jump and save money with a discount, but a BajaRack without discount is still cheaper than these, or a PINSU. A discount on an overpriced/underdeveloped piece of metal is still over priced no matter the deal.

$1600 for a roof rack only funds their lawsuits against competitors...just saying.

Meanwhile innovation at other companies is allowing consumers to pick up something like a Prinsu for $695

As much as I want a Gobi rack $1600.00 is not in my budget, that and I don't want to get divorced for buying a $1600.00 rack. I have access to 80/20 rail so maybe I will make something out of that.

There's been a couple of those. Whitson Metalworks was one of the better alternatives that Gobi got shut down. Camelback Metal Gear by drabbits is another alternative that is similar again but they are having their own issues.
