It depends on what type of look you're going for.
For me...My 4runner looks better with black - NOT raise lettering. My 90 Pathfinder looked better with the raised lettering. It depends on the vehicle and ones personal tastes.
I NEVER EVER buy a tire for looks. I buy it for functionality and price/performance. That's my only criteria. I like an AT type tire for the snow and my summer camping trips up dirt mountain roads. And I look at a tire that will give me good performance and longevity for a decent price. I LOVE Michelins..but in my opinion starting about 15 years ago they've been pricing themselves out of the market. I've been buying Coopers ever since. They perform as well and last almost as long...but are 30-40% cheaper (at least around here). If the Michelins only last 10% longer then the Coopers...but the Coopers are 30% less....the better value are the Coopers.
