Going from 2020 to 2021...

... did anyone make the trade going from the 2020 to 2021? Were you happy with it or do you regret it? Now going from a 4gen or something is a bit different than say from a 5gen, but I’m also willing to lower the standard from trading a lower model year 5gen to a 2021. Worth it?


I just watched a video on the 2021 features and wasn’t really impressed. However I do know the fox shocks were improved, apparently.

Just curious.

Only other upgrade are the LED headlights. Not worth it in my mind, better off waiting for a 6th Gen at this point.

I went from 2005 Sport Edition to the 2020 TRD OR Premium. Don't regret it but I'm glad that I waited. Much more options on the newer one.

he's right.. get rid of your 2020 and something else..entirely something else.. if a 2020 4runner isnt going to make you happy.. what makes u think a 2021 would make u happy?

Not everything I post will be me wanting to do it. It’s more out of curiosity.

Some people on this forum seem to think when you buy something you should leave it stock. Don’t change anything.

Makes me wonder the last time they changed their windshield wipers.

I cannot recall ever reading that someone on this forum said a 4runner should be left stock.

I traded a 19 Limited AWD to a 21 Limited AWD. To me it was worth it. I'm waiting for the 6th Gen to come out and I never buy the 1st year of anything that comes out. So the 21 is a stop gap for me. Plus I wanted the LED headlights and new radio. I pretty much leave everything stock. Used to be really into mods and the like but as I got older, all the factory stuff worked good for my needs.
