Okay,
I will be up for some new tires soon and am really wanting to bump up in size. Getting kind of bored with the 285/70/17 I have on there now.
Looking at: 285/75/17 33.8 height 11.2 width
295/70/17 33.3 height 11.6 width
305/70/17 33.8 height 12.0 width
I have a good 3inch lift with 1inch body-lift and SPC upper control arms and BMC I run 17x9 Fuel wheels with -12 4.5 BS
I am aware that some people change gears and some dont and thats okay. Some will tell you when you go to a 285/70/17 that you should regear. My truck drives fine. Most of us know the cost of a gear swap is not cheap. But I did price them and if I need them I will put them in.
My questions to anyone that has had experience with this upgrade. What tire is more likely to fit with the least amount of headaches. Dont really want to use BFH if I dont need to. Do you still or did you ever run with stock gears.
I personally,at the moment am looking at running the 295/70/17 as first choice and 285/75/17 as the other followed by the 305/70/17
I have received some good info from a couple of members on here already. But I am still open to some other opinions.
Thank you in advance for any positive input that you may have
