You should be able to get your stock toyota emblems plated right on the truck.
I looked into it years ago as a business opp but decided against it.
All it takes is a 6 volt battery and the purple plating liquid. Supposedly they just hook up the battery to the chrome and paint the stuff on and it gold plates it. There is enough metal in the platic chrome to conduct and plate.
Ask around, you should be able to get it done locally.

One problem with that "gold" plating is that when it starts looking dirty, you can't clean it. Try to polish it and it just wears off.
In my area, I remember when gold-plated emblems used to be pretty big with Lexus owners. Then you'd see Camrys with them. And then the Corollas.
The popularity seems to have died down and I rarely see gold emblems on new cars now days.
Toyota's new thing seems to be placing emblems on or around the doors. I noticed that the new Rav4 has the trim level posted on the door, similar to the 4Runner. Even the Prius and the new Camry Hybrid have huge "hybrid" emblems on the side.

Leasing was strong in the 90's and a slick way to bump the residual value was to load it up with port and dealer installed options. So they could bury the trade in payoffs or over mileage fees easier. Corollas were getting sunroofs spoilers rain guards alloy wheels gold packages VIP alarms and lojacks and leaving the lot at the price of a camry. May try them on my 04Runner against the blue mica after I finish my repaint.
