For this run, are sliders necessary or just peace of mind?
I received my Trail Gear sliders today with intention of installing them tomorrow - problem is - they sent two of the same side :doh: The mounting plates also have mediocre fitup. We'll see what 4wheelparts can do but I'm not sure if I can get them on in time.:moping:

Call the company up and have them replace at there ex-spense.
I have my factory running boards on, yes there beat up, taken them on some hairy stuff before, will be replacing after this run. Just be careful. As far as your question, not sure if necessary. Haven't been on this one myself.

But was wondering if anyone is going up early sat morning on the 8th. If so I may be able to go.
Also what are the trails rated? Do we need lockers? I have one but my sons rig does not.

Hey Rick, all are welcome to join in, and really doesn't matter what they have to drive. Here is the info on the trails.
4x4TrailMaps - Lakes Basin Rec. Area
Don't think any one is on a SATURDAY incoming. We will be running on ch.13 on CB'S.
Some have lockers others don't, myself don't.

Never tried the 2m, I hear there better for the hills on distance.The last run, all had cb's.

Ok, I'm giving mommy a break. I'm bringing Graci and Bayn.
Hope my front diff and/or t-case is good to go or one of the two is gonna $hit out on this trip. The CV's have a lot of slack at the diff. So I brought it too J&M, the shop that built the front and rear diffs. The tech looked at it and agreed that there was a lot of slack but there's no safety issues. Passenger side seal is leaking. So he said hammer on it this trip and try to break it, then bring it back for the fix. I'm gonna try to rip the whole front end off that way they have to do a SAS! :tongue:

Hold on! Get the parts tonight and we can toss them in tomorrow morning! I got an impact and we can have it done in 45min:clap2:
