Very nice choice Jonus....I was nearly fully set to get one the same package & colour a few months back (ended up going a different route tho), its an awesome combo!

Don't worry too much about it...I've driven both and the auto is actually the slicker of the 2. The 6 speed manual has a too tall a 1st gear and not the smoothest of gear engagments.

Also, not sure if it's the same in the US...but up here auto's get a foot longer bed with the D-cab than the 6speeds do....is that the same way it works there, or is there a choice?

All DCs are V6. Regular cabs are I4. Extended cabs are either.


I like the Tacoma. I wanted one, but got the 4Runner.

Demand > supply around here.

Ahh thanks! We can't get a DC - auto - short here.

Of course I wanted the one not offered anywhere....D-cab, long bed, 6 speed (even tho the auto is likely the better choice, I'd have to buy the stick just cause it's available) lol

Apparently all over North America Toyota is having a tough time meeting demand with these trucks.....must mean they're really good!

When i went to my dealer, they basically told me that the reason that they don't see that many is b/c they don't sell that many.

Basically, you get what you sell the most of.

I.E. scions, camry's avalon's and 4runners.

Tacomas are great trucks, but around me, they just don't sell that many
