Gonna get a 2005 Tacoma

Hey guys, I just paid off the 4runner. I am going tomorrow to get my Tacoma. Have you guys seen anyboards like this one for tacomas? I was talking with the car salesman, he said he would get me a family discount for 250 over invoice if I paid him 250 in cash. Do you guys think this is a good deal? I was looking at edmunds and these Tacomas are basically selling for MSRP because they are so hot right now. Please give me your opinions.

Something was goofy about that....I've driven many 05 Tacomas and the mileage is at least as good, if not better than any 4rth gen 4Runner's.

Yeah what are you talking about chunderboy? It can't be anyworse than my v8 4runner which I average 14 mpg. I am a lead foot.

My friend has a new tacoma, he is satisfy with the mpg with his V6. The person with the loaner probably drive WOT.

I have a 2005 DC Taco PreRunner for about 2 1/2 weeks now .

Thai, I think you can get VSC with Stability, but they are hard to find, that would be a special order.

The fuel mileage on mine is anywhere from 16.6 mpg to 22.2 mpg. The engine is still breaking in, just turned 1800 miles tonight...

I have a 98 2wd Prerunner, with the 3.4 V6 and the BEST i ever got was 21.5. That's, fill up, get on highway, set cruise at 60mph for the whole tank.

Invoice + 250 is a descent deal. I bet though if you waited until the end of the month you could get invoice though. The reason they are giving you that deal is because the invoice nowadays is padded with a 2-3% holdback. Make sure they don't make you pay more than $100 for the doc fee.

Trolls, I have several friends with new Tacos, driven hard they still get better mileage then my V8 Runner, identical driving I get 13mpg hardtake offs catching lights in manhattan, 05 Taco same driving, 17mpg.

2 less cylinders burning gas compared to a V8 means it uses less gas:

The new Taco

So, yesterday i had some spare time so i went to my yota dealer to see if they had any new taco's to drive. Yes they did., It was the TRD edition with the bfg's on it. Great looking truck btw.

A couple of things that i notced about her. One of which was that the doors felt a little more lighter than ours does. Made a loud a bunch of rattle noises when i slammed it. As far as the interior layour, i liked it alot. I was a big fan of the control layout for the steros and AC controls.

THAI, yes, you can get a locking rear diff. The one that i drove did have one.

Another strange fact about it, is that it doesn't have the one touch start that the runna's have. Very strange.

Oh, and another thing, It seemed to have a computer right where our sunglaseses holder is in the runna. It controls a bunch of functions. I.E. trip computer and isht like that.

I personally found the truck to be great. I think my guy mentioned that they are coming out with a limited version, and a double cab as well.

I want one bad, even though i have absolutely no use for a pickup truck in suburbia. To be honest, i don't even need an efing traler hitch. But that is neither here nor there.

Oh, and as a side bar, i was looking at a new sr5 and it comes with a crome grill... WTF

Do the new Tacomas have NAV, put Nav & Backup Camera a V8 and I'll get that

I mean this one was fully loaded, with the jbl. Didn't have nav or sunroof. I am assuming that the only way to get that isht was to get the limited version

Oh, and one more thing. W/I the next model year the tundra will be reborn with a 300+ hp engine. Or so my guys says.

But as for your original question, i am not sure, but if you can it would probably only be in the limited

I don't see them with Nav or Leather, they don't even offer pleather, what kind of pickup is this

As far as I can tell soon as the new Tundra comes out in 07 which is not far away the Tacoma will get a V8 and some other Tundra options, right now the Double Cab Long Bed is almost the same size as a Tundra, it has a lower roof but length and width.

The 2 could overlap and Toyota does not want Tundra sales to drop off
