Good AGM battery recommendations for winch

Finally got the plate bumper installed and am going to install the winch once the synthetic rope gets here. Since the battery is from 2007, I figured it would be time for an upgrade.

What's everyone's recommendations on a good AGM battery that will handle the winch? I also plan on running LED pods front (installed) and rear, along with a small light bar.

I've seen winches kill a battery and/or alternator, but I never had any trouble with my Optima Redtop and the factory Toyota 60a alt. I have also heard that the new Optima's are no where near as good as the old ones. I'm all for being prepared, but realistically how hard are the trails your planning on doing in that rig?

I like Odyssey batteries but they're damn expensive.

I had the Die Hard AGM on my jeep and it really was the best battery I ever had. I left the CB on for a week and hardly drained it. Winching no prob and cold temps no prob.

This is one of the best batteries around. And actually it's just an odyssey but with a better warranty...if Sears hangs in there long enough for you to use it.

Anyway, among the jeep crowd this was the top choice and after owning one I see why. Get ready though...they are heavy. Oh and likely $240 plus so...

Optima Red or Yellow Top is my vote. The Yellow top are deep cycle batteries if you see yourself running the battery low using accessories often. Otherwise the Red tops are very good, I currently have one.

Pretty much all AGM's are way better than your standard lead acid wet battery.

I have an exide agm battery. I had good experiences with them in my boat (left some lights on for almost 2 weeks and it started right up) so I got two for my 4runners. I have no winch but do have upgraded alternators and big 3 in each and so far everything's great. Plus I get them at cost through work so I only paid $100 each instead of $220 each.
