Hello 4Runner forum,

First time Toyota owner with a pre-owned 97 4runner that has about 125,000 miles on the odometer.

I got it back from the mechanic the other day for some regular maintenance. He said my shocks are shot and it would be good to replace them. So I am looking into my first mod of the truck starting with a lift kit within the next month or so. Still waiting to save up enough funds for the job.

Welcome to the fun of your first major mod. What lift are you planning on going with? I am very happy with my 3" OME from toytec.

Currently I am looking at the ToyTec lift and the SS1.2 lift kit.
I would prefer to get a complete kit all at once.

Both kits seem to get the thumbs up on this forum and other places on the web.
