ive just bought my first set of 285/75r16 duratracs, ive read and watched many reviews of these wonderful tires, but i would like to read some of your guys reviews.

what do you think of them on and off road...

from gravel, rock, sand, dirt, mud, snow... everything


what is your on road review.

how many miles for a set, how fast did the tread wear, road noise.

I have a set of 265/75/16's on my 2001. I really like the performance of the tire in mud,snow and rocks. I have not taken them through much sand. A little noise on the street, but not obscene. The truck is my 1/4 time DD so I can't really speak to wear patterns or tire life.

I've got 65k on mine. they are incredible on and off the road.

I have about an even 10k on mine right now. They haven't worn a whole lot, which is great!

Off-road they do awesome. I haven't been able to try much sand yet, but it is really impressive with pretty much every other terrain I throw at it. It feels like I've got great traction on loose material, especially snow.

On-road they're also fantastic. For a tire of this tread depth and pattern, it is pretty quiet when compared to other similar-tread tires. I can easily go any speed and not be annoyed with the noise.

As a bit of a side note, the "self-clearing blocks" can be a bit annoying at times, especially with slush as I've found.. they regularly throw snow 10' behind me. With these, no running boards, my wheels, and the spacers, just about everything on the road gets picked up by them and thrown up the sides.

I love them, and I think you're going to love them too!

When I bought my T4R t came with 285/75/r16 tire. So when it came time to replace those tires I went with Duratracks.

I've had a chance to use them on gravel and dirt roads, mud, a little sand, and a little snow (really unusual for MS to have snow, but this year we have). I have been amazed how well these tires grip. In fact there have been times where the truck has gotten itself out of situations that I attribute to the tires and truck, because I had no clue what I was doing.

For road grip, these seam to provide nearly as good traction as the standard wranglers that we used to run on our 12 passenger vans. The humming is still there, but not nearly as loud at the straight offroad tires that my truck came with when I bought it.

All in all, I am very pleased with the Duratracks and will probably keep running them.

I've had them on mine for about 7k miles. They're a little louder now than when they were new, but still very good for a tire this aggressive.

I spent most of December and January working up north and in the mountains for the holidays, and they're great in the snow.

And they look good. I get a lot of random complements since I put them on.

I've had my set for a couple of years now and came from being a longtime BFG fan. I feel they're better than the BFG's in the snow, mud and dirt. I think the BFG's performed slightly better on wet surfaces and they (the Duratracs) do have more road noise.

Overall I'm extremely happy with them and wouldn't hesitate to buy another set or recommend them to people.

Had mine since November. 285/75/16. Love them. Daily driving is no problem with minimal road noise. Been through mud and sand about 4 times since I had them put on and they work great. Haven't got stuck yet so I'm guessing they are doing their job. Price won the day between these and the KO2's as there was an insane sale back in October at a local store. Even bought a fifth as a spare. I'd buy them again.
