Goodyear Rip Off

I just called Goodyear to get a price on Fortera TripleTreds, in 265 / 65/ 17. They wanted $206 per tire, with mounting and balancing and tax and alignment and whatever else extra. $206! I told them TireRack had them for $162, and they said, we can't even touch that.

What a rip off.

Mavis has them on their website for $162, too. I called them and they quoted me $169 per tire if they install them, and mounting / balancing / alignment / tax are extra. And, you get a $40 cash card from Goodyear, too. So, Mavis wins.

It amazes me

BUT it seems that everybody but Goodyear stores can sell Goodyear tires cheaper.

I went through the same thing when pricing 13" trailer tires. There was a $30.00 price difference between the stores and elsewhere.

Amazing.........
