Anyone using gorilla wheel locks? According to Amazon, these should fit the 3rd Gen 4runner, just wondering if anyone has any experience with these?

Yup I use em, they work great. Just remember they only come in packs of 5 lug nuts, so you'll need 5 packs. I only paid $45 bucks for all of them, through 4wheelparts of all places. You might want to shop around rather than pay $75.

Looks like they come in a pack of four with a key. Usually just one for each rim. I never have seen anybody use a wheel lock on every lug nut stud. Only on luxury cars have I seen that.

I have a set too. Work great, but if someone really wants your wheels, they're going to get them. Just adds a bit more effort.

short mag shank

Yes correct, not an acorn on factory Toys...
Factory mag lug nuts are 12mmx1.50 thread with short "Mag" or "short shank" nut.
After reading around these Girilla nuts are rusting bad within a yr. Seems they dont care to fix it as many reviews are recent too. Used to be higher quality stuff but must of lost their way? Still these are the correct nut design on factory Toys.

Unless you have specialty fancy wheels, I wouldn't bother. Even in my weekend mechanic career, I have seen a couple guys that have lost the key and have to hammer on a different socket to try to get their wheel off. It's a PITA, so if y'all are like me, the risk of someone stealing your stock wheels is nowhere near the inconvenience of having to macguyver them off when you need to rotate or swap out for winter tires.
