Got a little dirty but then super clean...

Went out on a few mild trails up at Big Bear and got dirty. Here's some pics w/ some beautiful views:

Then I went to the detail shop and here's what they did (bling, bling):

I don't mind. I paid $200 for a full exterior, including wheel wells and things I wouldn't think of like the exhaust tip. They also put vinelyx, not armor all or an alcohol-based product, on all exterior black pieces. This makes it last longer.

The price also included the engine bay, all interior door jams and shampoo of the floor mats. The price did not include shampooing the interior as it's very clean and I have wet okole seat covers.

I use tire shine stuff under the hood and it works great and even lasts a while........at least until the next off road trip.

I only detailed the motor as I got a CEL after sucking up all the dust. I'm pretty sure it's the dust in the MAF but just in case it isn't, I wanted to have a clean motor to diagnose anything.

The crappy thing is I cleaned the air filter, MAF, and even my throttle body a week before the trip.

yeah my engine is super dirty from tellico.. how does that K&N work and sound? I like my deckplate and isr and stuff but the k&n looks good.

I think the K&N would sound similar to what you have. It has a nice rumble. Many say it's not worth the money but since I bought it before I was reading on the boards, I've just kept it. I like the performance but it's pretty minimal hp gain.

Red springs came w/ the SAW's so no choice on my end. I do like when people paint calipers and stuff but on a red truck, I think it's a bit much.

Eh,the K&N kit is forgiveable and does look good under the hood plus you have the very rare red 4Runner especially in sport trim so a little *bling* fits in.
