Got a new 4runner

So its been a few years since I've been on here. Sold my 4th gen when I had my first kid. Then had another kid and got a Sequoia. Then finally got the green-light front my lady to get a project.

So I found a 1999 base 3rd gen with the v6 MT and rear locker. It came with 5th gen trail wheels and bfgoodrich mud tires that are practically brand new.


Its in pretty rough shape but for $2000 I could not pass up the offer and even after really inspecting how beat up the truck is I still think i got a pretty good deal. It runs great and the ac works. What more can you want?

good deal man!!!! 2k with new wheels,ac, and locker! you did great....I just grabbed my 98 with manual trans...no ac and shot tires for 1500... =(

waiting for an ac truck to pop up to rob all the components.

Looks good! That's a great price for a good project starting point. How many miles? I'd guess you could put $3k into it and have a phenomenal rig.

I'd buy it for $2000 and it's a SR5 not a base model. (maybe it is a base with the replaced rear hatch)
1999 + 5 speed + locker = very desirable.
You could turn a nice profit if you do it right. Good Luck with her!

How's the frame? A lot of lines aren't lining up on the driver's side especially around the rear door.
