Got bored today

So I was at home bored and decided to go to my local tire shop I go to all the time and got my 5 spokes installed today (will be plasti dipping them this week also), and I got home took off my running boards. arty:

May I suggest Gunmetal paint for the wheels???? I think it would really look sweet with the IJM!

Awesome! They're the best, mine is curled up like a baby right now snoring like a drunk sailor. LOL

+1 on painting the wheels. I just painted my 5 stars Graphite. Haven't mounted the tires on them yet but they look awesome.

Looks great! Gotta love IJM with the 5 Star wheels. But yes, they would look soooooo good painted gunmetal!!! Goes perfectly with the green paint

Mahola brotha! Im thinkin black as of right now since thats what paint I have sitting in the garage (plasti dip)

Best minor mod I've done yet was paint the stock corroded pitted ugly ass rims..

Quickly sand down the pit marks (spend about 10 seconds per wheel using 3m pad on drill for big corrosion spots).

Put a deck of cards between rim and tire.

Spray on one coat of self etching primer (bonds to clear coat) which also dries in seconds !

Then spray on duplicolor wheel paint. (darker silver)..

Your done!! I dont clear because it lets you just re apply the paint for touch ups and its a semi gloss anyway.


I bought the 5 star rims and stripped the paint to bare metal, then applied a zinc cromate primer, then painted then cleared... turned out the the clear can wash the paint away if you go close and now im just gonna redo with self etching primer and duplicolor to fix it.

it sure is a good, easy, and cheap mod! I plan on doing this today if this rain goes away
