Got My 890 Coils and Bumpstops In

Had an issue finding rear isolators for my springs because the previous owner put 2" spacers in them and left the stock shocks.... yeah I know. They were broken at the top mounting ring from them being pulled on while flexing. I had to replace the shocks when it was taken apart because the truck was LITERALLY just supported by the stock bouncy springs. Now I have the coils in and did my bump stops today too. Woo now I'm semi ready for the 4 day wheeling trip next week

Looks good. I just put 890s in, too, waiting for the alignment shop to open to get the front aligned.

I have 881s up front. I will get it aligned in about 2 or 3 weeks. No sense in it before I go bouncing around.

What's up with the rear bump stop? It looks old, but normally there is a hard durometer rubber stop there for the axle to hit. That progressive round one looks more like the one in the center of the coils.
Rig sits nice [emoji1360]
How do those coils ride?

They ride great just stiff. These bump stops are from an Oldsmobile bravado. They're longer than stock by around 3" or so. So yes.. it's old lol. Got it from a forum member that must be from up north. Didn't know rubber could turn rusty in color... lol

PWD4R - 3 questions:

1. Are you running spacers on your 881s up front?
2. How much does your bumper weigh?
3. What kind of rear shocks?

2 observations:
1. I dig the stance.
2. If you want to save the rear mud flaps from getting ripped off on the trail, I'd suggest cutting the black lower portion (below the painted section) off. I didn't on my first set. And that's why I'm on a second set...

1. Yes, the 1/2 inch one that toytec sends
2. I think it's like 94-96 pounds according to shrocks site
3. Rear shocks are the OME 60073 comfort shocks

Yeah I considered cutting off the rubber piece but then figured with how bendy it is I may be fine. But then again maybe not idk. I will find out in 3 days or so. ;)

Any trim packers or spacers in the rear? I'm replacing my spacer lift with either 906s or 890s and really dig your stance with the 890s.

Thanks.

I see the term trim packers a lot but idk what those are. I don't have that, though. Also no spacers. With a spacer it'd be WAY too high for these shocks. Keep in mind you don't want your coils to flex more than your shocks up or down without the proper sized bump stops.

Trim packers are like mini spacers that ARB/OME sells that fit between the bump stop and top of the spring. Usually it's to level out the lean you get on the d-side but some people use it to add a tiny bit of lift to their setup as well.

Thanks for the info. I think I'll go with 890s.

Oh. Yeah I didn't get those. I need to see if I still have a driver side lean. Right now the tank is basically empty but I will fill it up tomorrow or Thursday and take a look.
