Got my mods done!

Well, I went and got my ISR pipe made today, and upgraded my exhaust. I went with a short body ( 8-10" or so) single chamber FlowMaster "muffler". I am not disappointed. She sounds like a V-8 now, standing next to it @ idle. The power is definitely noticable from these 3 mods ( deckplate, ISR, Muffler).
She sounds incredible at 0-70. Especially if you punch it at highway speed and reach 4000 RPM. Best of all, at highway speeds under a normal load, you hardly hear the muffler.

Just did my O gasket mod this afternoon as well as clean the throttle body and replace one vaccum hose that was was old. I tightened up the kickdown cable and the throttle cable too.

WOW.....made a world of difference. Much more responsive although alot has to do with the TB cleaning I am sure.

Yep, my TB looks pretty gummed up. That's tomorrow's chore: clean and install "O" gasket. I got some funny looks asking for that ISR mod. They looked at me like I was crazy when I busted out the specs on them LOL! They even installed it just to see it work. I got the muffler and ISR installed for $165 out the door ( muffler included).
I have to move fast. Never know when I'll get that call to go to BFE to fix some broken wind turbine. Last week I got sent to Maine. 82 degrees when I left Texas. -41 when I stepped off the plane later that day. 120 degree change in under 8 hours!

For cleaning my TB, I just left the two coolant hoses attatched as well as the bottom vaccum line. Then I layed a cloth over the engine and cleaned it up w/ tb cleaner. The service manual calls for removal but you have to plug the coolant lines. It was alot easier that way.
