Got my new 04!

Well I finnally made the decision to get a 4runner instead of an Acura TL. Have had it for 2 weeks now and 2 weeks of commuting and 1 ski trip I've already put on 1100k on it. Heres the rundown of what I got and pics.

04 Galactic Grey
Sport Edition 4X4 V-6
Roof Rack
Wireless Headphones
Sun-roof
Double Decker Cargo
Cargo package
1st aid kit
Basically has everything except Nav and leather.

And heres the greatest part. Bought it on January 31st(last day of month) at near closing for $30,200 out the door. So $29,100 pluse Tax,tag, and title. Also got $400 off for recent college grad rebate.

Got them to throw in all weather mats for free too.

I miss my Lightning but bottom line I got a great deal and it handled great in the snowy mountains of PA. DAC worked great as well too.

Only thing I'm considroing is a brush guard and some bigger tires such as some BFG's or some Bridgestones.

Taking it to get passenger and drivers side front windows tinted this week.

Last thing.

1.What type of Air Filters have peolple been using?

2. How are the sylvania silverstars on the 4runner? Are some other types of bulbs better.

Congrats!. Very nice vehicle.........

I am using Sylvania Silverstars bulbs for low beam and love them. They give whitish beam closer to HID. One pair is available at Walmart for around $37.

As far as air filter is concern, I am too thinking about it. Not able to make decision on it.

Did you install back side yellow light - below the brake light (your second photo) or was it factory installed?.

Welcome to the board! That is a good looking truck.

I have the Silverstars in my highs, lows and fogs. I really like the cleaner, whiter look of the light. I wouldn't say they are a ton brighter but they are deffinately whiter.

My battery is about to die, so I will post a link to some brush guards when I get home. Or you can do a search and you will be able to find them. Again, welcome!

It's a great deal you have there!

Where you live has a lot to do with the selling price of the vehicle. I've priced a Mitsu Evolution 8 in both Chicago and Ft. Lauderdale, and the prices could differ at as much as $4K (Chicago being more expensive).

I think there has been a couple of people that have either had the SR5 or the Limited that have bought the scooped hoods and put the on. i am not sure of the cost, but I don't think it was that much.

Is that a picture of the rear fog lights lit? Did you do the mod or did the rig come like that?
