The only fine print mentioned at the end of the radio ad was the stuff about "tax, tags and title extra". I'm pretty good about noticing that type of stuff. The deal only lasts through tomorrow.

Its Diehl Chevrolet in Spring Grove (southcentral) PA. I just called them to get the scoop, and they said the price is $16,990 with no cash or trade due in addition. The vehicles have between 20k to 30k miles. I suspect they are some type of fleet vehicles that they made a good buy on. The number is 1-888-213-4007.

Once again, I would hate to be the poor sap who just bought one at $30K.

I wonder if they are the same color? I had a friend buy a work truck from a bad fleet order. Somone in the snowy state of Maine's Trans dept thought 2WD F-150s would be a good idea. The dealer here picked up 30 of them, sold cheap. Wierd thing they are F150s with the F250 rear end/8 lug wheels.

If I hadn't just bought the 4Runner, I could buy two - one for me and one for my wife. As it is now, she gets to drive the 4Runner nearly all of the time (stay-at-home mom) as the family vehicle, while I get to drive a '97 Subaru Legacy with 200K miles back and forth to work.

There is no comparison between a 4Runner and Trailblazer, as we all know. But there may be a comparison between a 4Runner and TWO Trailblazers!

I worked at a gm dealership for a while and we had MANY fleet trailblazers. Gm has deals with rental car companies and after a certain milage they sell them in bulk to dealerships. They are usually in crummy condition even though they are under strict maintenance regulations. trailblazers=shit ive driven so many on the lot and they all feel like crap. plus gm interiors seem more likely to get a moldy smell. at least that is what i observe.

Same here. You have to drive for the conditions, not the speed limit. If vehciles in the next lane are stopped, or someone could enter your lane, better slow down.

This should be common sense to EVERY driver, yet time and time again you see some toolbox doing 60mph next to a lane that is stopped.

I am not sure about this...remember, the rear cars have to drive a "safe" distance behind you. So, the argument can be said that the cars behind you were too close (aka tailgating)...and thus, you are not liable if you have a valid excuse for braking hard (you can make up a valid excuse easily).

A valid point, however in most cases there are witnesses (aka unbiased observers) and police reports and DA's refer heavily on witness reports as far as deciding what/if to file charges. If the witnesses say you were racing or reckless driving, then it doesn't matter how close the car in back of you is. Law enforcement (at least in California) make a point of going after street racing or reckless driving. So if they (they being officers and the DA) have a choice on going after a tailgater or a street racer/reckless driver, guess who they are going to go after.

Also a key point you made in your post "a valid excuse for hard braking" very true statement, but in California that does not include braking for animals.

i rarely race my ride. if i wanted to race i would have bought the g35coupe i wanted so bad. but whats the point. you end up spending a lot of money on performance just so u can speed up to the speed limit. and thats kinda lame. i speed when i have to and thats when im running late.. up here with all the traffic your always running late so .

its all about riding slow..leaning.. just lookin clean n fresh

Uh... I would like to see the law where it says you should run dogs over rather than hit the brakes. What about a deer that could seriouly injure you? Can't hit your brake for it either? That doesn't make sense. I think someone misinterpreted the law or is feeding you b.s.
