Hey GottabeTRD, Runner is looking great. The sound of the muffler is awesome. Do you know what part # you used? I would like to get something similar. Also, I checked out the lamin-x website but it looks like they don't provide a product for the older runners anymore. Did you pick yours up from them or a third party vendor? Keep up the mods.

hey thanks a lot man, gosh i gonna have to dig up some receipts to tell you exactly what i got. I tried to find the muffler on their website and i thought it was the 5000 series but mine looks nothing like that, so im thinking i have the 3000 XL series. Ill see what i can find though, here is what i think i have. ill double check

As for the Lamin-X i just ordered a roll and cut out the pieces myself. It took some time and patience but the stuff was pretty easy to work with. you can take it off and re-apply it a few times before you get bubbles and crap I would just make sure order enough in case you make a mistake, which its hard to do anyway, really the only mistake i made was cutting it too small.

Thanks for all the information. I completely missed the fact that you could order custom rolls and sheets, very nice. I will have to check into the muffler. I really like the sound of yours, nice low rumble.

thanks again man, i couldn't find the receipts but im pretty positive it was the 3000 series. I remember i wanted something that wasn't obnoxiously loud but still turn some heads when i wanted to.

theres another guy who has a spintech muffler on youtube, he used to be a member here too, but I like his better than mine lol! he's the one that turned me on to the muffler. his sounds like heaven!

so... VLEDs had their huge 10 minute sale (50% off) the other day and i filled the cart up with some LEDs and everything became out of stock. I had all kinds of crazy stuff, i had most of the LEDs to do a full swap. (except the brake lights etc) im going to be getting those down the road. Anyway long story short in the pure madness and all i ended up with (or so i thought) were these bright ass reverse lights and some LED stips (for the foot wells.)

so i guess i got two of the same order. I didn't i know that i had ordered two sets of the same order, paying full price for the one. :ybrick: these reverse lights are expesive! so if anyone is interested i may sell them for cheaper than what you can pay at VLEDS they are the 8 watt SMT 192 high power best bulb you can buy to light up the show behind you bulbs.

I would just return them but because ive got two orders one discounted the other not its gonna be hell trying to do a return. plus theres a 15% restocking fee.

anyway ill take some night shots tonight, but here is what they look like in the day. these suckers are bright as hell i cant wait to see them at night!

Great intake/exhaust combo. Perfect growl without being obnoxious. Where did you buy them? And for the exhaust, did you buy a kit or just the muffler and tip?

thanks alot man, i bought the intake off of the Volant site, you may be able to find it on amazon for cheaper. If you get that intake make sure you order the powercore filter with it. It tones the noise down a little plus it keeps everything clean. the intake has been on there for a couple years now and everytime i check my TB, to this day its sparkely clean! the filter that comes with the intake is nice but its oiled and you will still get tons of gunk in your TB

buy no i have a buddy with a tacoma with the same engine except he has the K&N. both him and I think that the volant sounds and performs a lot better, people say CAI intakes dont do anything and maybe that is so with those opened up intakes but i would put money on mine giving me some extra HP and MPG's

as with the exhaust, I also bought it on the spintech website. i bought the muffler only then went to shop and bought a duel wall magnaflow tip. i think i got everything installed plus the tip for $140 (the tip was ass expensve haha)

the blury glass i effed up but it will soon be fixed

Seems like a lot of work just to stain the door fabric. Did you get anything else done with the door covers off?

thanks man! it's wasn't too hard, it was just a lot of masking off and almost 2 cans of material dye, they are still off im letting everything set for a while longer

im thinking on trying to get the led footwell lights hooked up, i just have no clue where to tap into. im still trying to find a good wite up that i can understand.

Hmm. I would tap from that one cigarette lighter back-lighting. Seems to be the closest source of interior lighting wiring to the foot wells.

haha thanks man, are you gonna do some color change? ill get a wirte up togther when i finish up, its not as smooth as the OEM cloth but it for sure got rid of the crustiness the dye made. it almost feels like a new stiffer material now. the silk worked good but i found some old polyester basketball shorts that seemed to work a lot better.

im kind of leaning towards some courtesy lights for these ones. they are white. ive been reading some stuff and thinking i can either tap into the wire on the button in the door that activates as the dome light. the only thing im stuck on is since i have 2 sets of lights (4 wires)
if i tap into each side seperately i think that would mean each light would come on for the door that is open. do you know if i can combine the 2 lights into one power wire and one ground wire?

Oh I see. You only want light when the doors are open. That's a cool idea!

Best solution I have for that is to tap into the dome light and run the wire down the A-piller. Unless you can find the wire on the door itself that goes to the dome light. And IIRC, you can run lights like those in series. But don't quote me on that. I would just stick with a parallel circuit.
