GottabeTRD's Build Thread

haha i know. I can't freaking wait. I'm gonna be going back to full time in May. The big mods I've always wanted are finally within reach.

The 4runner is looking great! Is it possible to get some more clear photos from the side? I have been debating aftermarket rims and a little more lift with my 265's.

You know I didn't even notice but i don't have many pics from the side. I'll post more when I can get some.

Honestly here is my opinion on the 265 75's. From the side they look perfect as far as how tall they are with the lift. From the front they are a little narrower than i'd like but since this is my daily driver, my commute is pretty long (20 miles one way) and i cant quite afford to re-gear, and all the other things that come with going with 33's I needed something reliable. So i think it's a good size tire with a lift. It's not quite pizza cutter status haha.

As for my rims, I like them. I'd rather have some FN 5 star wheels or the Konig wheels 4ripcord has. The ProComps look great when I put some shine on them, but I'm ready for something different.

so here is a pic another member took in a spotted thread. It's the only one i could find after the lift and tires.

Hey man I know you were talking about wheels and how you like the ones ripcord has...well here's some ones you might like from Level 8 that are currently in production. I know that 8 sticker on the center cap looks weird but you can make it all black.

These wheels will be way cheaper than the konig because most level 8 wheels are around $110/each from discount tire. Let me know what you think!

Also I saw on ripcord's thread how you hated the antenna going up and down...well all you gotta do is wire in a small switch between the blue antenna wire from your aftermarket HU. Check out what rockslide did...I did this and it works great! Guide on How to Combine Both Front & Rear Antennas into One on an Aftermarket Stereo - Page 2 - YotaTech Forums

I don't know... i'm for sure getting my coilovers and sliders within the next few months. I would love to get a bumper bigger tires etc. basically do it all this summer. It just all depends how the sales go. I just may have to swap out my wheels for these thanks again!

Hey I'm glad I could help! You've helped me out a ton without even realizing it with all the LED stuff. Anyways I found them at Level 8's facebook page www.facebook.com/level8wheels

Check out that page there's all kind of pics of the wheels they sell. They are a great company that make high quality wheels. They also build wheels for Discount Tire under their MB Wheels line. I just bought the MB Wheels TKO and I absolutely love them. The best part is the wheels are not crazy expensive...their 16" wheels are all around $110-$130 and if you go into a discount tire you can talk them down even lower.

Wow! I haven't checked in on your build since you posted about the deal on the lift! Your truck looks great man! After reading your complaints... I kinda figured it was the rear shocks giving you your issues.... I ran with some Skyjackers, but find the ride to be great! Actually, I find the 4Runner rides nicer than my 05 Tacoma DCLB! lol!

I love my TRD Tundra struts and LC coils.... greatest mod I've done... by far! ;)

thanks guys and yeah I'm drooling and fantasizing all day about what i could do to my truck with all the money I'm gonna be saving this summer. This forum is killing me!!

I'm trying to make myself put a lot of it away to pay off my student loans but you know...
