set of Icon 2.5 shocks for $450 - obo - Tacoma World Forums

Big thanks to SCrunner for lookin out for me on a killer deal. he got the guy down way low on price, I just couldn't pass it up. As soon as i get them, I'll be sending them into ICON for a rebuild/revalve and what ever they have to do to make them fit the 4runner. I'll also getting them changed over to the extended travel and possibly the CDC resi's too! just a little siked :bravo:

Sorry this is from a ways back but love the look of this.
How did you do this? did you put them on a separate switch?

It's really easy. The lights come with a ground and a hot wire. I just spliced them into the light in the gear shifter. You can splice I to any wire or light that comes on when you turn the lights on.

IMO I'm kinda over the look of this and want something cleaner. I may hack up my cup holder and add some plexiglass or something to make the light spread a little more evenly

alright! how bout some pictures!

This weekend Ben (smkd) helped me get some of my goodies intalled, We still have to rock out the LBJ's and tire rods but things are coming along.

these are the Danahoe Racing/Icon 2.5 Coilovers I got a great deal on them, I cant wait to test them out! I also purchased some Light Racing Control arms

we also installed some new CV's from DTA. I'm not sure how they're gonna do but crossing my fingers the last a year or so

front is at 23.5"
rear is a little over 24"

Hmmm you know that we are gonna need to disco your swaybar to see how they actually do right??? When I get back we will have to run up rattlesnake or something

I have to highly recommend no front sway with the 650# coil. You simply don't need it. You will enjoy the ride better on and off road.

Well I know that is on the list. Just gotta get him to pull it off and see how he likes it. I run no Sway bars on mine and yep can honestly say I love the feel of it.

yeah, we went up that trail a little bit and built a fire and hung out. It was fun! i finally got my tires dirty lol

Unless you continued up Forest Lake or Mineral Basin, i don't know if it qualifies as getting your wheels dirty:shrug: BUT it's more than I can do at the moment! Glad to see you at least off the pavement!

Hopefully someday I can get mine done so we can get some Desert Runners runs going again!

Hell yeah i agree! I think i still have to fill my front diff too haha.

Go buy 2 quarts of diff fluid and we will just drain an refill your front. Unless you know what you used.

hahaha yeah we went up a little ways on mineral basin, way before the rock garden but it yeah it was just dirt. I did have to get over that little rock hill so we could have some music by the fire so I even got a tiny bit of flex, but you're right, im gonna have to really test it out eventually. What's the deal with desert runner's? nobody has been really active over there!!
