I have wanted to give my truck a good thorough detailing for a long time, but we don't have a hose at my house up here!! but the local self service car wash has a foaming brush scrubber thing in the stalls so that's gonna have to do for now I guess.

haha thanks man. yeah it's fun but i'm still for sure scared to death the scratch the paint and break stuff. Freaking Ben has some good pure pressure skills haha It's fun though. i enjoy it!

Hey it is a trade off and most I those scratches will "buff out" lol ;) you'll be a lot less likely to get damage after your armored up honestly.

And I should be free next Sunday to do it. I had to come up to ID for the weekend. I hopefully will be finally doing my fuel filter and diff breather

haha i know i keep telling myself i wont buy anything more but then i see all the potential and want it all over again!

but sweet! next sunday will be good! You said i need a 30mm socket right? anyway ill look up BFAD's write up and get everything else for this.

I was gonna order a fuel filter too, cause i thought that might have been what was making my truck sputter on the first start of the day. i cleaned my MAF and now everything seems to be good!

Ok sweet fuel filter is easy as long as the bolt didn't rust weld themselves in place like one of mine did. That should help with you mileage though if it has dropped. Also I will pick up some grease and we can do the drive lines too

on the other note I finished my little cup holder project. It was a little hard to take shots with a tripod in my truck so yeah. the lights are pretty dim so it works fer me

When you replace the fuel filter: BEWARE of the pressure that may have built up on the engine side of the fuel filter before you pull it out.

You may or may not end up with a mouth/face full of gasoline without expecting it and totally make you hit your head on your sliders.

But I wouldn't know ANYTHING about that...........:roadkill:



In all seriousness though it's not hard at all.

More info on this. That's exactly something I've wanted to do with my cup holders just been doing other things first. I've thought using clear curtain rods and making the halos like that and then cutting out the shape of the halo in the bottom of the cup holder and gluing it together. Curious how you went about it.

yeah for sure! I took a couple of cell phone pics while i was doing it. I'll post those up.
Basically I went to Home Depot and got a couple pieces of plexiglass , cut out the size i needed, glued them together then traced the shape of the cup holder insert and some other minor things. I'll post a write up when I get a chance, it might be in an older cupholder led mod thread
 
geez it's about time I actually read through this and subscribed....I've been slacking on here recently. Did you end up ordering sliders yet, and are you going to come to Moab in October and play with me and all the classic guys?
 
what up fella's... So I've done a few small things here and there like some black weatherTech floormats front and back (no cargo) and added the Rigids on the hood.

Maybe its the season, but I'm just haven't been as driven to buy stuff for my truck. It's getting up there in miles and I'm convincing myself that It's not worth it any more. Anyway... Hopefully that changes soon cause i still absolutely love my truck, I'm just trying to save the money now haha.

here is the most recent pic (iphone Bdazzled and all) hopefully I'll get out of this slump and pull out the DSLR and get some good ones haha

I bought the spots, I dont have the CBI mounts, I just made my own out of L brackets. CBI conveniently came out with some mounts like the day after i installed these... Just my luck!!

yeah looks good though. i bought the flood lights might order the spots and use the floods as fog lights.
