lets see 5 mile, I think its close to there. It's west of lehi. Last time i went out there they had it all fenced off except a huge mud pit. of course i still got in through the mud pit! i wish i would have got a video of that. it was fun

The 2001 grille emblem has been discontinued for some time now. I searched everywhere... There was also a black pearl antenna nut, which is also discontinued. I've seen them both on other vehicles on the road, they're out there.

The junkyard is the best bet I'm waiting for...

Man makes me wish I saved the one from the 4runner I traded in. I only put the front and rear emblems on since I had her debadged. I still have the other emblems in my bedroom at home...I hope if my parents didn't throw the box out. The rear emblem was peeling by the time I traded her in though. I haven't seen many runners around the junkyards around here...

dang so you still have the BP rear emblems? Im pretty sure id give a kidney for a front BP emblem. these painted ones do not hold up to the sand blasting on the freeway

So here is my new toy, im still trying to make a detailed video of it, but my camera is hating the lighting so i gotta try something else.

so far its a pretty sweet little gadget, Its the aeroforce interceptor scangauge. It does everything a Scangauge II can do and i think more. It reads some cool things like horsepower, 0-60 times, and records it in a performance menu. But for me.. its in a freaking 4runner, i'm not going to use that stuff. but did i play with it?? hell ya! although the HP is a little off i think.

it has warning lights that you can set for things like if your tranny temp got above a certain level and other things like that.

anyway here it is, let me know if you guys would want me to show something specific in the video. I'm making it for information purposes for the Toyota version of this gauge. Maybe i'll get it featured on the aeroforce site??

yeah finally! It took me a while to set up the annunciator. I have mine to go off if i drive over 75 mph. I didn't know there was a negative in front of the limit so the light was always on lol. but yeah this thing is awesome!

so how hot did your trans temp get? Im trying to figure out how hot is too hot. so i can set those too.

That fits in really well with your interior. I like it.

The SG2 also has the horsepower feature, but I agree w/your thinking that these devices are probably way off RE that measurement.

So Ive seen these mentioned a few times before in different threads. What all do the scan guages do? Other than what you mentioned obvioslsy. Do they track mpg and how much gas is in your tank?

Thanks BigFish, I didn't know the SG2 did HP too, thats cool. My first time at WOT I saw the HP go up to 189 but after that i haven't been able to get it past 135. lol Hope thats not legit.
Does your SG2 read your boost from your supercharger? I'm going to eventually get a SC and was hoping this thing could read the boost from it.


Taylor, they have the ability to read a ton of perimeters from your cars computer. It's really nice cause you can monitor the way your truck running. The gauge I have can read about 20 perimeters. I don't even know what some of the things are LOL, But yeah it does the MPG's, it helps me keep my foot off the pedal and you can track how much gas you have left, (i haven't figured out how to set mine up yet) but yeah you basically enter your tank size and it goes off that
These are the ones that work for sure for our trucks

1. IAT – Intake Air Temperature
2. COOLANT – engine coolant temperature
3. RPM – engine speed
4. MAP – Manifold Air Pressure or boost (not supported on most Toyotas
5. MAF lb/min – Mass Air Flow in lbs per minute
6. MPH – Miles Per Hour
7. THROTTLE PCT – percent of throttle opening
8. IGN. ADV – Ignition Advance
9. STFT B1S1 – Short Term Fuel Trim bank 1 sensor 1
10. STFT B2S1 – Short Term Fuel Trim bank 2 sensor 1
11. LTFT B1S1 - Long Term Fuel Trim bank 1 sensor 1
12. LTFT B2S1 - Long Term Fuel Trim bank 2 sensor 1
13. ENGINE LOAD – PCM calculated percent of engine load
14. FUEL STATUS – Open or Closed loop operation
15. MPG – calculated fuel economy
16. HP – calculated horsepower
17. AT TEMP – Automatic Transmission temperature
18. INJ. PW – Injector Pulse Width in msec.
19. MISFIRES – total misfires of all cylinders per 600 rpms ( not supported by all
vehicles)

thanks man, yeah i just about bought the SG2 but was worried about how it was going to look, then i stumbled up this from Brilliant's build, and I was pretty siked! It cost a little more money but I convinced myself that it was worth it

I'm just using the regular bulbs. the ones in my cluster are from VLEDS, so far these are my favorite as far as looks. With the hotspots, I stuck some foil in my HVAC to try and spread it out more evenly but it still kinda has them. the ones in my cluster I just put some scotch tape in front of the bulbs and it has seemed to tone the hotspots down significantly

these are the ones i have in the gauge cluster now.
SMT HIGH POWER WHITE WEDGE BASE LED LIGHT BULBS 24 | 1 PAIR
they are #24's and i'm not sure if that's the same for yours or not. You may be lucky in having the #74's to where you can get these
5K WHITE 3 LED WEDGE BASE DASH LIGHT BULBS 37 74 | 1 PAIR
i have one in my shifter and its great! no hot-spots at all

If you get stuff from them, wait for a promo code. They throw one out every other week or so and some of them are up to 20% off!!

This is probably one of the best websites I've ever bought anything from. If the bulbs are in stock, they ship them really fast at the normal shipping rate. Also, if one burns out, you can just file a claim and you have your new bulbs within a week.
