As I said before, your LED dash swap inspired me to do mine the way I did... still looking great.

Man that Aerospace guage is really cool! Maybe I'll have to go this route and mount it where everyone mounts the transmission guage in the shifter area.... hmmmm......

edit: just looked at Brilliants thread, he mounted it exactly where I was thinking! haha damn, now I want one really bad!

thanks guys! that means a lot coming from some of the sickest rigs on the site.

and Rick yeah this thing impresses me every day, I set these lights it has to go off if i'm going over 75 (speed limit here is 65) and it works like a charm. It's almost a little too much fun haha

I bought mainly to try and better my gas mileage or at least the way i use my gas, and Its cool to see where you can keep the throttle to get the best MPG

I forgot to mention that they have custom gauge faces you can get for an additional $10. They have blank face or a gauge that says TRD, a couple options to make it unique

I paid about $260 for it. I tried emailing them for a discount or group buy offer, but they would not budge at all haha. I think the gauge is still a prototype, it has a sticker on the back that says patent pending so maybe that's why?

did the foot-well light mod today.

still working out the kinks. Right now i only have them wired to the switch in the driver side door, so later on i'm gonna have them turn on when i open any of my doors.

Its a pretty easy mod to do, I've taken pics of the process so if you want a write up, let me know. The hardest part was finding places to stick the lights, to distribute the light evenly as you can see in the pics.

Yeah im just curious how you mounted your footwell lights. I purchased led strips for mine before I looked and saw there was no way that an led strip would work being attached under the dash so I ended up hooking mine up under the seats facing forward.

And you could hook up the lights to the door trigger wire that goes along the drivers side floor. That way when you open any door, they will come on. I can't remember off the top of my head what color it is, but I'm thinking it's black and white. It actually works as a (-)ground wire though.

Edit: just looked it up, 96-98 is a black and white wire, 99-02 is a light green and black

thanks man, there is a way to do this supposedly. My buddy was telling me there was some sort of relay that you can get from radio shack that would give you the "theater effect" I may look into this but it looks like it might be challenging.

haha yeah and dont worry, I too have little skill when it comes to working with electronics. this was was actually one of the easier ones. Just finding the right sources to use was the hard part.

From bulldog security: THE DOOR TRIGGER WIRE IS LOCATED BEHIND THE DRIVERS SIDE JUNCTION BLOCK, IN A 13-PIN PLUG.

I have a '98 so my wire just goes along the floor, makes it a little easier.
But I made brackets that I attached to the seats.

Facing backwards for the back seats

Facing forward for the front seats

hey trd,

for your halos did you wire them to your parking light? andrew @ trs said the inverters would be a strain on the parking light.

i was also thinking of converting my front turn signals (on the bumpers) to 7443 pigtails and taping in to the parking light as well for additional lighting at night time driving. all my bulbs in the front are leds (or well be).

^ I run my halos off of my parking lights and have had no issues to date. Although I converted my parking lights to LED's so there is less current draw, maybe that helps?!

You could also just tap into the parking light circuit to grab the signal that would switch on a relay and run them independently.
