Recently I received a GPS and wanted to share how I mounted it. I got the Garmin 60 series for its portability and being water resistant for hiking and fishing, but it wouldn

I have that same head unit, what aux input is that...in other words what is it used for?

Non iPod mp3 players primarily. I have the iPod jack that the HU came wired with, located in the glove box because I can control that through the HU (which you prob knew). But if someone has a non-iPod mp3 player, they can use the Aux cable by plugging it into the headphone jack and you would have to control the music through the mp3 player itself. I had the Aux cable come through the top of the useless shelf, instead of the back, for a slightly cleaner look. With the GPS mount, which was added later, so it doesn

Any chance you can post a close-up? I'm also running into problems trying to mount my GPS; I have the eTrex Legend Cx, though.

What do you want a closeup of? The first pic is where I perminantly taped the base of the auto mount. Do you have the garmin auto mount? As seen here:

You can adjust that thing in several different ways.

And do you have the shelf from a single din stereo?
