Great Value - Tires Installed in Sacramento Area

So, I received my new tires from an internet site yesterday. I was really anxious to get them put on. I was looking for an installer that did road force balancing.

I called Les Schwab on Bradshaw; they said they would not touch them (find rant here http://www.toyota-4runner.org/4th-gen-t4rs/82845-les-schwab-refused-mount-my-tires.html). Previously, I had LS on Elk Grove Blvd. install wheels & tires I brought in. (BTW - I think they ripped me off. I paid $200 - as a novice who got taken). So, I then called Firestone (by Lowes) and they "hemmed" and "hawed" about how "long" it would take (not that these were not their tires). They said, "can you leave your car...it will take at least two hours...you need to come in early...not 3:00 (that's when I get off work). Obviously, they did not want my business.

Hesitantly, I called Quick Fit Tires & Custom Wheels. I was looking at their website and was a bit concerned Quick Fit Tires & Custom Wheel - Rancho Cordova, CA, 95670 - Citysearch. But the reviews were good. I called them up and he told me "bring it in...I said it's 3:30...do you have time? He said; " it's $60 (I'm thinking did I get ripped or WTF)...I said I want RFB...he said "it's $80".

Anyway, I brought I over. If you know the Rancho Cordova area...its the HOOD! Apprehensively, I had them go ahead. The one guys doing tires, removed my old ones, mounted, balanced - everything in 1 HOUR! It was $80.00.

At the end of the day, I'm a pretty happy camper. The tires where done in one day and are balanced properly (I have not vibration, etc).

Check this place out if you need tires done - quickly & cheaply!

Nice. That sounds like a good deal. Do you get out on the trails much in the foothills?

Glad to see someone in Sac-Town! At first I thought it was the black one I saw on Bradshaw yesterday. Lifted a bit more than mine, ARB bumper (I think), 3 front mounted PIAA's, etc. But, then I remember it was a 06+.

So you got the Overland kit (sweet)! Why did you decide this kit over Toytec, OME, etc?

Your truck is the same year, etc. I just installed the T1809. I went a different route on wheel/tires (as I'm a newbie).

Don't get out much right now as I've been busy with family. But, we had a chance to go up to Truckee/Reno area and have fun in the snow are few weeks ago! (But if you check out thejosh's thread it looks like he had more fun).

I had planned on getting the Toytec Ultimate Kit because it seemed like a decent kit for the price. The downside to the Toytec kit is the Bilstein shocks. They are just generic shocks that aren't specifically valved to work with the 4Runner. Also, the Toytec coilovers do provide anymore adjustment than what the Bilstein adjustable shocks can already do.

The Overland Warehouse kits have Radlfo shocks that are specifically valved for the 4Runner and therefore provide a better ride quality and off road ability. So for a little bit more money I was able to get a much more superior suspension kit. Also, OWs customer service is top notch! (Now only if they paid me to say all of this!)

I am a newbie too, but I have been lurking on the forums for a few years while I save up for all the mods.

Once the snow melts I plan on hitting up some of the trials in the Cisco Grove/Eagle Lakes area. Let me know if you are interested in going sometime.
