Great video on diff drops

Just use a BFH and flatten the ribs inside the OEM skids and you don't need to use any spacers. Or, you can cut a channel out of the ribs where the diff drop pucks are. These are the 2 techniques used back in the day so you didn't lose any ground clearance. I used the BFH method. I'm a proponent of the diff drop just to keep the outer boot bellows from touching.

Hope this helps.

You can also get a burly aftermarket front skid for a couple hundos that clears the drop spacers and sell the factory skid for $75. Unless it got a BFH beatdown...LOL

Little tight on funds at the moment. Aftermarket skids are definitely in the future for me but I just moved. I might take the drops out for the moment and put them back in later with some aftermarket skids. I just want protection for now, pretty sure I have to replace my CV boots sooner or later anyway as they are cracking but not yet leaking.
