I was able to beat a new stock Monte Carlo at a stoplight. He kept staring over at me and I knew something was up. The light turned green, I pushed the gas, and I was watching him cut in behind me through my rearview mirror! It was basically from 0-40 mph. Seeing his face after witnessing my 4Runner's V8 power was pricesless! :arrow: I find a lot of people don't really expect our trucks to take off like that.

i was smoked by a GC w/ a hemi not too long ago. i wasn't near interested in 'racing' as i had the GF in the truck and i was half alseep but yeah, the hemi powered ones are pretty quick for sure.

I enjoy lining up at a red light with someone who wants to race then let them go and watch them get a ticket, this has happened to me 2-3 times. It gives me a good laugh everytime.

I work for a Jeep dealer and we finally received our SRT-8 for inventory. Unfortunately now we are tearing the engine apart because with 7 miles on it, it now has a lower end knock. I would say the gas mileage is probably in the 12-14mpg range. We fired it up yesterday and man does it sound mean. I'll have to take some pics but I forgot my camera at home..

Keep us posted. That just cuts Jeep's reputation (whatever it is) in half. Honestly I always liked the lines of some Jeeps, but reliability kept me from buying one.
Man, I am dying of curiosity and I do not know if you are in sales in your dealership but...
I have 3 Questions: if you rather not answer that is cool too!! (I know I am being cynical).
What does your co-workers say about you owning a 4R?
When a new possible customer comes by to look at jeeps and they ask you what is the best 4x4 what do you answer?
Last, When I am shopping for a car I always ask the sales person what do they drive and why. So when customers ask... what type of car do you own... what do you say?
Again I know I am being a smartass... so if you want to skip my post... no prob!

TBH, in LI where my father's company is, there is the largest jeep shop in the tri-state area and not one person that my father knows owns a Jeep. Every time my father thinks about getting one for mom he just asks his friends over there what the "new issue" is, and it seems to be two re-occurring themes. Trany and electrical system.
