I am new to the forum, thought I would say hi.
My sister has been after me for years to get a toyota, but only picked one up last year. I wanted to drive down through central america with my dog in tow, and was looking for something that could handle the roads. The T4R seemed to have the best mix of comfort, power, and ability to blend in. I picked up a 1998 T4R limited, and I wouldn't change that choice. The only thing I wished for was a manual transmission the help get through the mountains. I burned through a gearbox within the first month on the road.
I returned the US and got a job in Michigan, and it was amazing to have my T4R through this past winter. From what I've been told, it was the worst winter since the 1800s. And my T4R managed to do pull through really well. I was able to get out on the road when most of the people couldn't.
Yeah, I love this vehicle. Definitely can take a beating.
