Just wanted to say hello. I have been reading this forum for several days and find it very helpful.

I will soon be the owner of a 99 SR5 2WD which has belonged to my mom since she bought it new. Maintenance has been followed religiously.

This 3rd-Gen is destined to become my weekend warrior. Towing, camping, mountains, beach, lake, etc.

Immediate mods and upgrades will be the following:

1. Tundra Brake Upgrade
2. Deckhole
3. Intake silencers
4. Blue Wire
5. Fog lights with rocker switch
6. Roof Basket

Down the road I will replace factory stereo, install power inverter, replace factory instrument lighting, and purchase a dedicated set of winter wheels & tires. All this just after a couple days of reading. Imagine the ideas I will get after a few months!

I have already found useful information on all the mods listed but still have a couple of questions I haven't found the answer to. I will post them in the 3rd-Gen thread.

I am also picture happy since my wife told me I don't take enough pictures to justify the new camera I bought. So consider yourselves warned.

You say you are picture happy and yet there are none...

Also why get a 2wd for a weekend rig, you will regret that very soon.

And here I thought this was a different kind of forum. Where everyone is helpful and kind. Thanks for the warm and fuzzies, friend. LOL I'm really not sensitive just find non-helpful remarks pointless and useless.

No pics b/c don't have the truck yet, as mentioned. 2WD b/c it's in the fam=cheap & well maintained. Also, with the weather here and no intention of off-roading, there is no need for 4WD. Just pulling a trailor on occasion, road trips, and loading camping/hiking/beach gear.
