I had a Grillcraft on my Tacoma and loved the look. I contacted them and asked if they would be producing for the 5th gen, their response:

"Yes we will be doing a grille for your vehicle, however this is a few months away."

Good news either way. I wrote them back and suggested their grill when mounted remain recessed like the stocker. Fingers crossed.

I just want a badgeless grille that looks stock otherwise. Judging by the grilles on their front page, I'm bound to be disappointed. I'm not a fan of the "wings" on each side of the Toyota emblem.

yea some of those grills are nasty, but here is what I had on my Tacoma, which I think would look good on the 4runner. and their "Grillcraft" badge does come off.

Emailed them the same question and i also had one on my Tacoma. Will be getting one when they come out for the 4Runner.

I had the same type of mesh grill on my Element - I loved the look and would like to do the same to the 4Runner

Just a little update: I contacted Grillcraft and they said it was about a month and a half away....


Jesse - I didn't realize what you were talking about at first with the recessed grill, but now that I've taken a look at the runner I agree. It would look a lot better if it remained recessed...lets hope that is how they design it.

I am eagerly waiting for a black mesh grill (similar to the one I had on my taco from grillcraft as well). I think it would look great on the trail edition. This is great news that they are coming out with something.

I also heard that Socal Supertrucks is working with T-Rex grills to make something for the 4runner. I looked on their site and was not impressed at all, but if they are doing something others will too.

yea I thought of that. but most likely the grillcraft will mount recessed, which is a million times easier then doing a satoshi

I love that huge TOYOTA logo! I'd definitely put that on the Grillcraft when they come out.

Make sure you post pics! If you want some ideas you can browse tacomaworld, some guys get the TOYOTA emblem for theirs, but others do all kinds of stuff, old school ones, trd ones, even custom ones. Theres also alot more info and pictures about how to do it on there.
