Did you ever end up trying the non-oem nuts for the grille? I'm in a similar situation now trying to change my grille and need a solution for new nuts.

Yep, sure did, Boilas. Measured 'em to the best of my ability and (amazingly enough) they worked great. :lmao:

Here's a photo of the nylocs and washers ordered off of Amazon, showing part numbers. Note that you'll need both... The nyloc bases aren't quite wide enough by themselves to hold without the washers, but their threads fit the bolts perfectly.

Bumping this old thread.

I assume the easiest way to deal with these stuck nuts/bolts (that now spin) is to dremel them off at the nut and order new hardware?

I was able to get 2/8 off but stopped until I can order new bolts/nuts.

All these to replace the grille insulator piece that had started to deteriorate...

These are 5mm "T" bolts.

The ones on the '06-'09 are 6mm "T" bolts that not available. If you buy the grille the bolts are included.

Thank you! I was just searching for the parts numbers as I attempted to install an aftermarket grille and the studs they provided were way too small. I was unable to get the old ones off... lots of rust. Anyway, you saved me a ton of time searching.

I ended up using the 5mm "T" bolts on my '06. I used some sticky art clay to hold the bolds in place while I mounted the grille.
